Already a Homeowner?
In the current property market we are often asked one question: "Do we find a property to buy before we
sell our own? There is no right or wrong answer to this question,it all depends on what is right for you.
Consider the following situation as a seller:-
Two separate people view your property on the same day; both are prepared to offer the same price. One of
the viewers has a property to sell but is not on the market - the other viewer has a buyer.
Who would you accept as the buyer of your property?
So, if you view a property without a firm offer on your own property and wish to make an offer to purchase,
the owner would not accept you as a buyer until you have a firm offer on your property.
This could mean that you may lose out to another buyer if they are in a better buying position, whilst you
are still trying to sell.
So, as you can see, there are ways of putting yourself in a stronger negotiating position to minimise the
disappointment that can be experienced, if you were to lose the property of your choice.
Do not be concerned about being pushed by a potential buyer to move out quickly, the right buyer will always
give a reasonable amount of time for their vendor to find a suitable purchase.
